Created from a project by Hotel Europa with students from José Cardoso Pires Primary School.
A performance that playfully and entertainingly seeks answers to that huge expanse of time when families aren’t together. What happens in parents’ lives that children never see? What do children imagine their parents do when they’re not together? What people do they see, what activities do they have? Is there a connection between what children imagine and what actually happens in their parents’ lives? Many parents say they’re going to work, but is that really true? And what exactly is “work” for, anyway?
