A very hairy exhibition, where you can try out new hairstyles.

  • Synopsis

Curly, wavy or straight, our hair grows with us – about one centimetre every month! It can be cut, braided, tied up, shaved, crimped, styled with gel or dyed… so this exhibition is dedicated to every kind of hairstyle. Joana Estrela designed a series of hairdos, which GUR has woven from fabric yarn. The result is a collection of wonderfully hairy creations and an invitation to invent your own new look!

    Joana Estrela

Joana Estrela was born in Penafiel in 1990 and began turning her family into raw material from an early age. Among her birthday classics were portraits accompanied by lists of “things-we-say-when-we’re-angry”, tailor-made for each family member. Her approach has remained the same: she continues to observe the world through drawing. She holds a degree in Communication Design, has published several books, and has received two Amadora BD Awards and two commendations in the Portuguese National Illustration Award, among other distinctions.
