Artists of different ages, drawing approaches, and political views, share their visions of a utopian society inhabited by animals, who try to beat a corrupted society, built by man.

This reflection takes “Animal Farm”, by George Orwell, as a starting point. In this book, animals represent human weaknesses, and in this exhibition, 27 artists depict the pigs’ triumph of our present days.
The show comprises works by over 20 artists, including: Mariana, a Miserável, Carolina Celas, Rui Vitorino Santos, Júlio Dolbeth, Margarida Ferreira, Bárbara Gabriela and Joana Estrela.

SENHORA PRESIDENTA
Senhora Presidenta gallery is a project owned by Dylan Silva (painter), Mariana Malhão (illustrator), and Luís Cepa (designer). Colleagues as university students, at the Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto (Oporto’s Fine Arts Faculty), they have always shared a common desire: to open a hybrid space, where artists would produce and exhibit their works. At Presidenta, it is possible to find pieces of ceramics, illustration, painting, photography, drawing, video, and independent publishing.
