Synopsis
Jorge lives inside a very special picture frame in a house full of photographs. His parents sometimes don’t know where he’s got to, because Jorge loves jumping from photograph to photograph and discovering their stories.
A show that uses very simple means to tell a story about images, memory and the freedom of the imagination. Through projections of images manipulated using an overhead projector and a slide projector, live music and the narrator’s voice, we learn the story of Jorge, a boy who was born in a photograph and who lives in a house made entirely of photo albums. The projections blend live drawing with transparencies, shadow puppetry and slides, accompanied by the narrator, who also plays small instruments and creates a variety of sounds. All of this is done in full view of the audience, allowing them to watch the show whilst simultaneously seeing how it is created.
A cycle of 10 shows marking 10 years of the Maria Matos Theatre’s Programme for Children and Young People
