Description

We open the doors of an unexpected Mini Market – challenging and fun at the same time.

Synopsis

During a month in which we question money and its value, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to manipulate it. In line with the Money Series, we open the doors of an unexpected Mini Market – challenging and fun at the same time.

Inside, nothing can be bought with euros (or with dollars, pounds, rupees, florins, patacas, yens or dirhams). We are going to need to have in our wallets a brand-new currency, the LU€A, which we have to decide how to spend. A slice of cake. A poem only for us. A refreshing beverage. A trip to the grid deck of the theatre. As if money were a game, but that takes place around us on a daily basis. But who decided the value of these things? Could it be that there are things that are priceless? And what does it cost us to decide how to spend our money? In the end, perhaps, we find the answer to this question: can a glass of juice be worth more when we are very thirsty?

Oficina Fritta
A project born from the hands of Emma Andreetti (illustrator and designer) and Monica Di Eugenio (architect and carpenter), which aims to do many things: (counter)education and artistic mediation, design of small objects calmly constructed, fanzines and fresh pasta… all this, always with wide open eyes and mouths to question the common sense of the things that surround us and surprise ourselves with them.
