Synopsis

Labor is an artistic and educational project of interaction between schools, theaters, artists and educators, that seeks to promote practical experimentation in contemporary artistic creation, starting from a text commissioned for the project addressing issues such as the value of freedom and equality; the principle of solidarity; legacy, memory and knowledge of the past as a dynamic tool; our relationship with what surrounds us, expanding on the idea of citizenship. Having been given the same stage set elements, each group has, over the last six months, adapted, reinterpreted and customized these elements to meet their different artistic options. The performances, developed in four of Lisbon’s public schools (3rd Cycle and Secondary), will be presented on LU.CA’s stage.
