A secret world of forgotten little objects unfolds, where clutter and treasure junk into unexpected narratives.

  • Created by

    Teresa Cortez

There is a secret world inside our drawers, in our pockets, and even hidden beneath a pile of clothes shaped like a mammoth. It is a world filled with objects of all kinds—some kept unknowingly, others treasured with certainty. Over time, they all end up gathered at the bottom of some forgotten place. Marbles mixed with sweets, a unique stone alongside a metro ticket, a fallen baby tooth next to a coat button… Tiny lost treasures or clutter that should go straight to the bin… Or maybe not? Is it junk or treasure?

Teresa Cortez is an illustrator with a degree in Painting and a master’s in Multimedia Art from FBAUL. Since 2003, she has illustrated books, magazines, and records, collaborating with publishers such as Pato Lógico and Bayard Jeunesse. She teaches at Nextart and leads workshops at Cinemateca Júnior.
