Description

AMPLA is a cinema programme that brings together a selection of Portuguese and international films awarded at the main national festivals screened with subtitles, Portuguese sign language and audio description.

Synopsis

AMPLA is a cinema programme that brings together a selection of Portuguese and international films awarded at the main national festivals presenting fiction, documentary and animation feature and short films. In order to be as inclusive as possible, each film is screened with subtitles, Portuguese sign language and audio description, as well as relaxed sessions.

In an era of superstition and magic, a young apprentice hunter, Robyn Goodfellow, travels with her father to Ireland to eliminate the last wolf pack. While exploring the forbidden lands outside the city walls, Robyn befriends an unusual girl, Mebh, a member of a mysterious tribe: they are said to have the ability to transform themselves into wolves at night. As they search for Mebh’s missing mother, Robyn uncovers a secret that will lead her further into the world of Wolfwalkers, and risks becoming what her father is tasked to destroy.
