Summer’s end

An invitation to begin again.

• Synopsis

  At the end of summer, the air tastes of ripe fruit. The mornings begin to smell of new notebooks. There are trousers that no longer fit and shoes grown tight after a whole summer spent growing. The beach towels slowly disappear, and the cicadas fall silent without warning. Sand, fruit stones and addresses are left behind in pockets. It is time to put away the light to brighten shorter days.
