Description
In times of uncertainty and fear, and while we witness ferocious acts of power, there is nothing more up to date and universal than provoking an argument about who’s in charge. Who’s in charge here?
Synopsis
Published in 1945, George Orwell’s “Animal Farm” is a political and satyrical text, but also a fable about the way we relate to each other.
Also, the subject of power is eminently present; how it can be irresistible and ultimately, corruptive. In times of uncertainty and fear, and while we witness ferocious acts of power, there is nothing more up to date and universal than provoking an argument about who’s in charge. Who’s in charge here?
Taking the “here” as a place of dissatisfaction, what if the children in the audience took over the theater and appropriated the plot? What if they triumph? What if, for a moment, they become masters of the farm and we, the pigs, obey?
