Dance Cycle

We have been dancing since prehistoric times, when we began to stomp our feet on the ground, only then to discover that we were able to create rhythms and sounds, alternating feet with clapping hands. With the passage of time, dance became one of the main scenic arts of antiquity, alongside music and theatre.

Today we dance on stages, in the street, on the dancefloor of a night-club and even on top of speakers. And we dance alone, in our bedrooms, with no one there to see: here, dance is ours.

Dancing can be many things and communicate so many others. It can also be a premeditated act, or a moment of spontaneity.

And, in an absolutely planned act, in April we present our celebration of International Dance Day. 29 April is the day chosen to commemorate this artform, and at LU.CA, we decided to extend this commemoration for the entire month.
