Synopsis
Smashed is a sensational blend of circus and theater, inspired by the work of choreographer Pina Bausch.
You’re invited to tea. A quiet afternoon tea turns into a series of scenes and events that address—always with great humor—very serious topics, such as relationships, love, and loss.
It’s a show suitable for the whole family, with different layers of meaning for children and adults alike.

The Company
Founded in 1992 by jugglers Sean Gandini and Kati Ylä-Hokkala, Gandini Juggling is a pioneer in the art of creating and reinventing juggling and contemporary circus. The interdisciplinary dialogue in their creations blends juggling, dance, theater, and music, exploring new artistic and performative possibilities for both theaters and public spaces. Gandini’s artists and productions are an international benchmark in the fields of performing arts and contemporary circus, having presented more than 5,000 performances in over 50 countries.
