  • Synopsis

The LU.CA Audience Public Library is an ongoing project that grows with every performance, thanks to the book selections made by the artists. Now that we’re no longer on the mezzanine at LU.CA, these selections are coming to your home. To provide reading ideas for parents and children and to share memorable experiences about each book, we continue to expand this Audience Library—now in a virtual format.

To that end, we’ve invited many of those who have visited us since we opened to share a handpicked book aimed at children.

See here the selection by Isabel Barros, choreographer and director of the Porto Puppet Museum.

See here the selection by actor and director Marco Paiva

See here the reading chosen by visual artist Maria Remédio.

Ana Pêgo, who was with us during the + Azul series, made her selection on World Book Day. Check it out here!

Check out designer Sofia Farinha Gomes’s selection here!

Miguel Castro Caldas chose a book that speaks a universal language on the first World Portuguese Language Day.

Vanda R. Rodrigues, from the LABOR project, threw us a curveball and, instead of a book, chose an author! See her choice here.

Miguel Maia, from the LABOR project, recommended an alphabet full of stories! See it here.
