Throughout History we have always dreamt of heights: we want more. To reach higher. We don’t want more of this, but we really want that.
Often times, right next to us, were the songs expressing this. Saying things like: we no longer tolerate racism. We want equal rights for men and women. Good healthcare for all, without exception. We want more libraries. The preservation of forests. Fair pay. Humane working hours. Things like this, serious and important. Things that are so high that they cannot be whispered.
This will be a concert to celebrate the power of music. Can music change the world? Does the world make music change? What does music say about people’s projects? This will be a concert that travels, through time and space, to discover some of the songs that brought us together and that we need to sing (loudly!) to make ourselves heard.
(Are you listening, or do we need to turn up the sound?)
