Synopsis

Laid-back sessions, with Portuguese Sign Language, audio description and descriptive subtitles.

Ampla is a film showcase featuring award-winning films from the main film festivals held in Portugal. To be as inclusive as possible, all films are presented with descriptive subtitles, Portuguese Sign Language interpretation, and audio description.

The Carousel (Animation, no dialogue, 9 min.)

An emotional story about Argentinian carousel operators who have dedicated their lives to bringing fun and joy to children. A tale of perseverance and of a sense of community over individualism.

The Adventures of a Biscuit (Animation, spoken in French and subtitled in Portuguese, 7 min.)

Dimitri, a biscuit knight, and his faithful friend Pépite, set off for the castle of the Biscuit King. He gives them a very important mission: to bring back the princess’s heart and win her hand. Their adventures in strange and sugary lands promise to be perilous and delicious.

Hoping to see their queen smile again, a group of foxes rummage through the city’s rubbish in search of all the love letters that were never sent.

Mussels and Chips (Animation, spoken in French and subtitled in Portuguese, 26 min.)

Nine-year-old Noée and her mother have moved to an island in Brittany where everything is new and all the children know how to sail. To fit in, Noée joins the sailing club, but not everything will go smoothly.
