Accompanied Artistic Residencies – LU.CA

Synopsis

This season we launch a programme of artistic residencies accompanied by the LU.CA team, that will take place in 2022. The main objective of these residencies is to support artistic creation for children and young audiences as well as bridge a gap in the panorama of artistic creation in Portugal: access to stage rehearsal spaces with technical support.

Apart from using the entire space of the room, artists will be accompanied by the theatre’s technical and staging teams. As such, they will be able to explore the possibilities that lighting, sound, video and the movement of machinery can offer, in a room that is totally equipped and with permanent support from the LU.CA team.

Applications to these four residencies will be implemented through an open call to artists from the areas of theatre, dance, video, music, poetry and film, and will be launched at the beginning of each season. Each artistic residency will have the duration of one week, and preference is given to applications for projects directed towards children and young audiences.
