We already have artists for LABOR, an project involving schools, Theater, artists and educators that will provide a field experience in contemporary artistic creation. This LU.CA projects aims to prompt students to engage in the construction of a performative practice, where the very format of what we see as theater can be questioned.<\/p>\n
From January to June, the four winning schools of the competition will participate in a creative process that includes visits to the theater, contacting with technical and artistic teams, attending shows and talking with the artists. In June there will be a final exercise open to the public, which will be presented at LU.CA.<\/p>\n

Andresa Soares<\/strong>\u00a0(Lisbon, 1978) is an actress, dancer, choreographer and playwright. Her works include the children’s play Micro-Seres (children’s version of \u201c3 Performances for Microphone\u201d, Museu da Marioneta, Casa da Cultura de Set\u00fabal, 2018). Workshops: \u201cCollective Hole\u201d: creative workshop for students of performing arts (young adults), with the presentation of the show \u201cVala Comum\u201d (Ovar, \u00cdlhavo, Lisbon, Funchal). She supervises the dance module at a creative workshop event with young people from Loures neighborhoods and co-staged the show \u201cFaz-me falar\u201d, included in the EspectaCOOLar Vacations Programme, promoted by the Loures City Council, 2010.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Joana Pupo,<\/strong> actress and author, is finishing her Masters in Theater and Performative Arts, at the Lisbon Superior School of Theater and Cinema. Selected for the Nouvelle \u00c9cole des Ma\u00eetres in 2005, she has worked with Carlo Cecchi at the Teatro Stabile delle Marche and again at \u00c9cole des Ma\u00eetres, as Pippo Delbono and Enrique Diaz’ assistant. She has been following the Suzuki and Viewpoints methods with New York SITI Company since 2010. He has co-authored A Fuga de Wang-f\u00f4 (since 2006), emacigarramento(2009) and A Time For Time (2011). As actress, she worked with Jos\u00e9 Neves, Rog\u00e9rio de Carvalho, Jordi Oliver, Jo\u00e3o Grosso, Carlos J. Pessoa (Relvinha Cbr_X), Artistas Unidos, F\u00e9lix Ritter and Marta Pisco, Companhia Inest\u00e9tica, and Marionet. She does educational activities and research with Mocamfe-Tempo Livre, Guida Rainha, Madalena Victorino, ESTAL, CEM and Evo\u00e9 – School of Actors.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Mar\u00edlia Almeida Coutinho<\/strong> (Lisbon, 1979) is an actress, teacher and stage director. She is a PhD student in Performative Arts and Motion Picture at the University of Lisbon. She has extensive background in education and has staged plays, performances and workshops with children, teenagers, adults, disabled people and prison inmates, with Tam company of music-theater, in Padua, Italy. Among many other initiatives, she was the founder and is stage director at Theater & Performance Werkstatt, a community theater project in Salzburg, Austria.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Raquel Castro<\/strong> (Lisbon, 1981) is a professional actress since 2008, having worked with stage directors Tiago Rodrigues, T\u00f3nan Quito, Pedro Gil, and Miguel Castro Caldas, among others. As a stagedirector \/ author herself, she created Speed dating for the DAMAS bar and concert hall in Lisbon and\u00a0 O olhar de milh\u00f5es, a co-production Rede 5 Sentidos (Viriato Theater, Guarda Theater, Maria Matos Municipal Theater, Vila Flor Cultural Center, Theater Virginia, Ovar Arts Center, Gil Vicente Academic Theater, Micaelense Theater, S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o National Theater, Porto Municipal Theater, O Espa\u00e7o do Tempo). She did a drama workshop for teenagers commissioned by Marvila Library. She created the Crescer a Brincar Project at CAF – Centro de Arte e Forma\u00e7\u00e3o and was a drama teacher at the Bairro da Cruz Vermelha and Infanta Elementary School No. 4 in Lisbon.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We have still to select which schools will team up with our artists.
